Plastic Buckle Manufacturing With Renewable Solar Power

The new rooftop solar installation at our Taiwan plastic buckle manufacturing facility is the latest in a long chain of innovative green solutions that Nifco has implemented to respond to the critical needs of our planet for environmentally responsible manufacturing. 

Our new solar array covers the entire roof area of our site in Taoyuan City to maximize solar energy collection and make our energy use as efficient as possible. The power generated is used to run our manufacturing processes, and builds on our history of green manufacturing and innovative energy efficiency.

How Does Nifco Integrate Sustainability?

Our sustainability action roadmap provides the blueprint for our significant and ongoing achievements that integrate material reduction, recycling and energy efficiency. Before we built our rooftop solar array, we had conducted an energy audit, which discovered 95% of our possible energy savings were based on electricity consumption. The logical next step after implementing efficiency measures was to install rooftop solar energy to supply the electricity we required.
