Sustainable Production

SAFEGUARDING THE FUTURE

The Nifco closed cycle system

It is easy to generate waste in a competitive, fast-paced manufacturing environment. It is harder to be responsible and actively reduce, reuse and recycle waste from production processes. At Nifco we take the long view towards safeguarding the future of our environment and take active steps to make our production as sustainable as possible.
REDUCED CARBON FOOTPRINT

Closed loop recycling system

(re)Nifco uses robotic automation to identify and separate trimmings and off-cuts from the finished product. This is immediately reprocessed and returned into the production line as raw material in a continuous process. At the end of the production run the result is the almost complete elimination of waste from the product cycle.
  • Reduced carbon footprint
  • Increased Efficiency
REUSED IN THE FUTURE

Reduced Carbon Footprint

All plastics manufacturers reuse the off-cuts and trimmings from their production line, but usually this is done in batches after a production run. A larger volume of plastic needs to be ordered than is required and additional storage is needed for waste plastic that will be reused in the future. (re)Nifco reduces the carbon footprint as less raw material is used and no storage space for waste is needed.
ROBOTIC AUTOMATION

Increased Efficiency

(re)Nifco is more efficient than open cycle production lines. As well as eliminating the costs of ordering and storing excess plastics, it allows us to manufacture a wide range of products with different colors and plastic formulas without generating waste we might not be able to use again.

Automation of this process is a major improvement over separating offcuts and waste from manufactured components by hand, which may require employing several people to do this repetitive task. This reduces risk of injury as well as increasing efficiency.
